Broadcast Date April 10, 2019

What a joy it was to talk with today’s guest – especially because up for discussion was her brand new much-anticipated album LIQUOR STORE FLOWERS. Oh yes indeed Labrador-born, Toronto-based award-winning singer-songwriter Damhnait Doyle is set to release her first solo project in more than a decade and after listening to all 11 tracks I can tell you wholeheartedly it was worth the wait. So we’ll talk about what it took to get this project ready for release and so much more including her process for songwriting, the amazing roster of phenomenally talented friends who joined her for the production and what it means to have created such an honest collection of songs. Plus we’ll talk about her previous bands The Heartbroken and Shaye, play a fast round of 1st Things First and make the most of our new game MORE OR LESSand naturally, we’ll squeeze in as much of her incredible music as we can throughout the hour too…. so with all that ahead – I say let’s get to it. Here’s the one and only Damhnait Doyle.
