We just received the news that NL born singer/songwriter/musician Matthew Byrne will be releasing a live album and oh my goodness is that’s music to our ears.
“Matthew Byrne & Lady Cove Women’s Choir In Concert” captures the magic of Byrne’s blend of traditional and folk music with the choir’s brilliant harmonies, and made all the more marvelous by the stellar string arrangements of music maker Duane Andrews.
“In 2017 I had the great honour and privilege of teaming up with Lady Cove Women’s Choir and the Duane Andrews Quintet to present a very special concert at Gower Street United Church in St. John’s.” writes Byrne on his official site, “It was just incredible to hear my arrangements brought to life with the power of these amazing singers and string players. We recorded the show and I’ve always loved how it turned out, so we’ve decided to make it available as a live cd!“
In these times when we’re all longing to take our seats at an incredible concert this album takes us there and then some!
