What is a Curator?
Borrowed from Latin cūrātor “one who looks after, superintendent, guardian,” from cūrāre “to watch over, attend” + -tor, agent suffix. Curators are responsible for assembling, cataloging, managing, and presenting/displaying artistic and cultural collections.
And with that, we continue our on-going series of incredible EAST coast collections – each with a specific theme – always with the goal of showcasing what Atlantic Canada has to offer. We’ll put the call out and ask you to tag us when you’ve got something to add to our collection – we’ll share everything, feature our favourites and with your help, we’ll show the world just how much there is to love here on Canada’s East Coast!
Winter is upon us and while it’s no secret I can be seen hoisting a mug of something caffeinated EVERY DAY of the year – there’s a good chance most folks are clutching something warm and comforting this time of year – so we’re collecting MUGS!!!

Flip through my Instagram feed and you’re sure to find any number of my #MUGshots so you know I’ll be showing off my ever-growing collection, but we’d love to see yours. From the handcrafted pottery kind to the favourite coffee shop kind to the powerful saying kind to the collectors kind to the everything taste better in this mug kind and on and on – we want to see your mugs. So PLEASE take a picture and share a shot of your marvelous mug.
Be sure to tag us on your posts using #EastCoastCurator #MUGshots – and FOLLOW US ON INSTAGRAM TO KEEP UP WITH OUR COLLECTIONS!!!
