So happy to report #NSfilmjobs are seeing plenty of action this summer. Cameras are rolling on season four of USA Network’s crime anthology series THE SINNER, with production headquartered here in Chester, Nova Scotia.
Award-winning actor Bill Pullman (INDEPENDENCE DAY/SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE) returns to star as Detective Harry Ambrose in this fourth season of the Emmy nominated series “that examines how and why ordinary people commit brutal crimes.“
With Lunenburg, NS taking on the role of a fishing/tourist island in Northern Maine – THE SINNER S4 will follow the now retired and totally traumatized Det. Ambrose and his partner Sonya Barzel (played by Jessica Hecht) on a get-better-getaway that goes sideways when an unexpected tragedy rocks the sleepy island. Ambrose is pulled in to help investigate the horrific event involving a prominent lobster fishing family that includes Michael Mosley (OZARK) as Colin Muldoon who’s helped raise his niece, Percy (played by Alice Kremelberg) now at the centre of the mysterious crime.
Also joining the Season 4 cast – WATCHMAN star Frances Fisher. THE SINNER will continue filming here on Canada’s East Coast through to August 30th using a variety of locations along Nova Scotia’s South Shore. While no official premiere date has been set – based on the timeline for season 3 – we anticipated it will be some time in early 2022. In the meantime, you can catch up on the first three seasons streaming now on Netflix.
