Our chats will be just that very conversational, not entirely sensible and with any luck totally enjoyable.
And that certainly was the case with today’s guest – who by the way was one of the very first artists I interviewed when seaandbescene.com had launched online more than a decade ago. Truth be told though, I was a fan of his music way before then – having interviewed the man and his brother Don when I was working at a TV station in Edmonton and they were touring as the Sons of Maxwell more than 20 years ago. So yes, we go way back and in the years between then and now – he’s picked up a bunch of awards, toured the planet, and released a ton of killer tunes including a song about a broken instrument that broke a ton of records, became an instant viral video hit, went to #1 iTunes, landed him features publications like Rolling Stone Magazine and The Wall Street Journal, got him a guest spot on THE VIEW his own question on JEPEORDY, spawned a best-selling book and solidified the award-winning singer-songwriter as a truly sought after keynote speaker. So yeah, we’ll talk about that smash and so much more – including his brand new truly heartfelt children’s book “Tom The Tomato Plant,” his latest collection of incredible music called UNTIL ONE DAY and the wonderful way in which he approaches life and all his creative endeavours called Compassionate Design. Plus we’ll get to First Things First, play a fun round of INsights IN 10 and spin some of his amazing music along the way. So with all that ahead we best get to it. Here’s my telephone conversation with the one and only Dave Carroll.
