Our chats will be just that very conversational, not entirely sensible and with any luck totally enjoyable.
And today’s chat was all that and then some. Of course, you can ask anyone who’s ever popped into her place for a coffee or a piece of her famous coconut creme pie or her corned beef and cabbage – this lady is always up for a great talk – and I’m so glad she made the time for me as we’re meeting up to mark a major milestone. After nearly 30 years of serving up yummy food and fantastic hospitality to lots of locals from here along the south shore and visitors from all over the globe – the sale of her restaurant and shop The Deck becomes final on March 1st. So… yes we’ve got plenty of ground to cover – including her most demanded dishes, her oh-so-adorned ceiling and the fantastically famous folks filmed in and dined at her place over the years. We’ll also get to First Things First, play a fun round of INsights IN in 10 and spin some of her favourite tunes along the way. And I sure hope you can stick around for the end of the show as I’ve got a pretty major milestone to mark myself. So with all that ahead we best get to it. Here’s my sit-down conversation with the one and only Annie White.
