By now I’m sure I’ve said a million times – maybe more but – it bears repeating today because one of Atlantic Canada’s greatest natural resources is music and there’s nothing I like more than celebrating that bounty – so you have to know how thrilled I was to hear from my Sound of Pop pal Tim Hardy a couple week’s back. You see among a whole bunch of other stellar stuff – Sound of Pop secures placement in TV and film productions for the songs created by their righteous roster of artists – as it turns out he was calling to connect me with one such artist who’s edgy pop single “Welcome to My Life” can be heard in Season 2 Episode 3 of Netflix’s number one show GINNY & GEORGIA. So we’ll get the scoop on how that song came together and so much more – including how she found her urban pop sound growing up in rural New Brunswick, how she feels about performing live and how she’s come to work with some truly cool collaborators – we’ll also get to first things first, play a fun round of insights in ten and chat about how being a mom is her best gig yet. So with all that ahead we best get to it – here’s my conversation with the one and only QWINN.
